News From The Mill - June 1, 2026

May has become Tivoli Prep month, so it’s hard to recap much else that took place. From groundskeeping to inventory, May is always packed with tasks to complete if we want to have a good festival. Last year was a record year for us and one we weren’t sure how we might match again. We’re elated to say that this year’s weekend completely shattered last year and almost certainly was the best weekend we ever had. We couldn’t be happier and we wish to thank all of our staff and volunteers who made it possible. Joni, Joanne, Phyllis, Tami, and Julie all worked incredibly hard the entire weekend (including Sunday) and we would not have pulled this off without them. We also wish to thank Annabelle Baggett, Justin Nelson and Sarah Sayres for volunteering on Saturday.

Knowing this year would be a special one, we hired a photographer to capture as much of it as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Claire Petersen, and can’t wait to see the rest of her photos. A preview batch has already been shared on our Facebook page. A big point of emphasis for us this year was the parade. With Annabelle’s help, we gave away hundreds of parade flags to give the parade a red tint and it looks like that might be something we’ll continue to do going forward as the flags were everywhere.

Finally, on Sunday the windmill hosted an encore of events including our Rise & Grind Breakfast and the return of the Tour de Tivoli Bike Ride. Between these two events, we raised over $3,000 to be put towards our Grind campaign. We again wish to thank the volunteers who helped setup and run these events including SCSB’s Allison Buckholdt, Nicole Butler, and Robin Menzies; Aaron and Bruce Poldberg; Jimmy Cogdill, Cloid and Faye Farley, Jody LaCanne, Justin Nelson, and Sarah Sayres.

On another note, we sold out of Dane Country and at this point we are not getting more. It is possible Steve might have another batch in September, but we are looking to gauge public interest first.

Work on the website is progressing slightly behind schedule, but with no hard deadlines in the near future, we don't mind slowing things down. We are so excited for its debut, but for now, that will have to wait a little longer until sometime in July. Until then, we will continue to post our news updates here.
